Rhonda Vincent is set to headline the 26th Annual Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival, being held July 23-26, 2009 on the Skamania County Fairgrounds in Stevenson, WA. Her performance on Friday, July 24 tops a show boasting amazing bluegrass talent including The Infamous Stringdusters, David Grier & Mike Compton, and The Sleepy-Eyed Johns.
The Quebe Sisters Band brings a unique blend of triple fiddle, swing and three part vocal harmony to the stage. They will mesmerize the crowd with their vintage style performance of western tune favorites.
The Festival stage returns to the new covered fairgrounds pavilion. Rain or shine, audience members will enjoy the show. The event venue promises savory food and drink, and espresso and coffee, too. Look for plenty of fine craft and music vendor booths to complete the experience.
In addition to the great national level talent, the Festival includes some of the finest Northwest bands and two fantastic post-show dances. Friday night features an old timey dance, hosted by the Foghorn String Band, and followed by a festive zydeco show led by Portland’s Too Loose Cajun Band. On Saturday, the Buckles serve up a mix of Liverpool and honky-tonk that will move you to dance.
Weekend event passes will be $45.00/person (after July 4th, $50.00/person).
Purchase a weekend pass before April 15, and get a FREE event t-shirt.
Camping is $10/night without electricity and $15/night with electrical hook-up.
